Getting rid of attachment to 5 senses

Generally, we are attached to 5 senses of sight, sound, taste, touch and smell. These then create enough impression on the mind which then becomes mind objects where one can go and enjoy all the time.

The sense faculty are:

Eye
Nose
Tongue
Ear
Body

These gets completely experienced by the mind which itself becomes a full fledged senses. Based upon the inputs received, mind creates the image it wants and either likes or dislikes it.

With meditation, one can get rid of the connection between sense and sense objects and that is what “dispassion” is all about or in Sanskrit – vairagya.
